Bringing the story and future of Japanese wine to America
Connecting Japanese wineries with American wine professionals, educators, and curious consumers through insight, partnership, and cultural understanding.
About
A Different Kind of Wine Journey
After four decades helping global businesses grow through strategic finance, operational leadership, and long-term value creation, I began a second career driven not by spreadsheets—but by terroir.
Through years of studying wine and the global beverage industry, I became increasingly drawn to one of the world’s most overlooked wine stories: Japan.
Japanese wine reflects precision, patience, craftsmanship, and a deep respect for place. Yet despite remarkable progress in quality and identity, many Japanese producers remain underrepresented outside their home market.
Rising Terroir was created to help change that.
By combining decades of experience building businesses inside multinational environments with a hands-on entrepreneurial approach, I work to connect Japanese wineries and beverage producers with American importers, distributors, hospitality professionals, educators, and consumers.
The mission is not simply to expand sales.
It is to cultivate understanding, build sustainable market opportunities, and help Japanese wine earn the global recognition its producers have worked incredibly hard to achieve.
